How do I make a reservation?

To make a reservation at R Kitchen, please text us Monday-Saturday between 11am and 5pm at (843) 789-0725. To expedite the reservation process, kindly include the following details in your reservation request:


1. Name: Please provide us with your full name.
2. Party Size: Let us know the number of people in your party.
3. Date: Specify the date you would like to make the reservation for.
4. Location Preference: Kindly mention your location preference, whether it is Downtown or West Ashley.

By including these essential details in your reservation request, we can promptly assist you in securing your reservation at R Kitchen.

Can we request the chefs table?

Guests are welcome to request seats at our chefs table, however due to our small size and limited seating, we are unable to guarantee any party they will sit there. We will make a note of your preference on your reservation and do our best to accommodate your request.

How do I make a reservation for reckless breakfast At R kitchen West Ashely?

Reckless Breakfast is a pop-up 5 course Brunch with seatings at 10am and 12pm on most Sundays at our West Ashley location. For more information about availability and to make a reservation with the egg-sperts, visit www.therecklessbreakfast.com

How mANY PEOPLE CAN YOU ACCOMODATE?

At our Downtown location, we can accommodate parties as large as 20 guests on our covered patio. The largest party we can accommodate inside the kitchen is 9 guests.

At our West Ashley location, we can accommodate up to 18 guests at the counter, or if you party does not mind being split up, we can accommodate up to 25 guests split between the counter and our community table.

Is there parking?

Unfortunately, our downtown location does not have a parking lot, however there is 2-hour street parking on Cannon Street or Rutledge Ave. On busier evenings, those spaces are more than likely to be full; we recommend considering an Uber, Lyft, or bike taxi as an alternative transportation option.

Our West Ashley location has a small parking lot, however, spaces are limited. Carpooling is recommended for larger groups.


What time should we arrive for our reservation?

Our doors will open right at 6pm and again right at 8pm. We ask diners to be on time since all guests will be eating each corse at the same time. If you are more than 15 minute late to your reservation, our chefs may not be able to accommodate your party.

Is there a dress code?

While we do require that you wear clothes to your reservation, we do not have a dress code. Please wear whatever make you comfortable!

Can we bring our own wine?

At our downtown location, we sell wine and beer and you are welcome to bring your own wine for a corkage fee of $30 per bottle.

Can I bring my kids?


At R Kitchen, we embrace and appreciate the adventurous spirit of diners of all ages. However, we kindly ask for your understanding that our concept may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13.
Our main seating area consists of high top bar seating, which may not provide the ideal environment for young children, and diner conversation may be TV-MA. We also do not offer a kids menu, highchairs, or booster seats.

Nevertheless, we understand that families come in all shapes and sizes, and we want to accommodate your party as best as we can. For those guests with small children, we offer alternative seating arrangements to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

If you have a small child in your party, at our downtown location, we have a covered patio available where you can enjoy dinner. Space is limited, so we ask guests that require a stroller to avoid larger strollers.

Additionally, at our West Ashley location, we have a community table where families can gather and enjoy their meal together. We believe that the essence of a community is shared experiences, and this communal seating arrangement embodies that philosophy.

Do you sell gift cards?

If you'd like to purchase a gift card in person, you can visit either of our locations from Tuesday to Saturday between 2 pm and 5 pm. Our friendly staff will be glad to assist you in selecting the desired amount for your gift card.
For those who prefer a more convenient option, you can now purchase a gift card by texting us at (843) 789-0725. Simply provide the following information in your text message to expedite the process:


1. Your name
2. The name of the recipient
3. The desired amount for the gift card
4. Payment information
5. Address (if applicable) for mailing the gift card

Please note that if you choose to have the gift card mailed to you, it may take up to two weeks for delivery. During the busy month of December, please allow for additional time for the gift card to arrive.
Rest assured that if you choose to have the gift card mailed, we will keep it securely in our files as well.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

R Kitchen only allows service animals on our patio to create a calm and enjoyable dining experience. These animals assist individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and independence. While we appreciate your love for furry companions, we kindly ask for your cooperation in following our service animal-only policy. Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a peaceful environment for everyone to enjoy their meals.

Its Raining! Is my reservation on the patio still good?

Our patio is covered and enclosed to protect guests from the elements. We also have heaters/air conditioners to keep our guests comfortable all year round.

what is your cancelation policy?

For parties of 6 or more guests, we require a credit card be put down to hold the reservation. You have until 48 hrs before your reservation to decrease the number of guests in your party or cancel, otherwise we will charge a cancellation fee of $25 per person

For a buyout of a full seating, you have until 5 days before your reservation to cancel, otherwise we will charge a cancellation fee of $25 per person for 25 people.

Is you restaurant Wheelchair accessible?

While the majority of our seating is high-top bar seating, our west Ashely location has seating that can accommodate wheelchairs as well as an accessibility ramp.
